I had a friend from Russia work with me at my job over the summer. Before she left to go back to Russia she wrote her email address on a piece of paper. It is english except for in the middle there are two 'BB'. When i try to send the email with the capital english letter 'b' in their place, the email provider doesnt accept it. the email is @hgs.ru so im guessing the B's are some russian characters. If anyone could help me find a way to put these in with Windows or a program that translates it would be appreciated. Thanks.

Maybe they are 8's, like 88 instead of BB. email addresses aren't case sensitive and they never use Russian characters so it's just a matter of deciphering her handwritting.

This might be a stretch, but what the heck? The Russian letter that looks like our "B" is pronounced like our "V". Try putting in two "V"s and see what happens.
