I am new to the personals service from this site. I found many beautiful prospects! I sent out messages to about 6 women a week ago, and I've yet to receive any responses. How long on average does it take to get a response? Just a bit anxious...

I think it depends upon a few things.

If it was by postal mail, it may take a few weeks. About 1-2 weeks for the letter to arrive and about the same for a return letter.

If it is by email, it depends upon the availability of internet access for the person you've written to. Most people accessing the internet in the FSU (Former Soviet Union) do so by using internet cafes. They may go only once a week or possibly less frequently. It depends upon their schedule, which can be a bit demanding at times, and how much they have to spend for using the cafe.

For example, a lady I am writing to responded to me immediately for the first few emails. Now I haven't heard from her for about 5 days. I don't think there is a problem (and we can get anxious, admittedly!) I do know she has a lot to do. She has a child to care for and she is looking for a new job (possibly why she isn't checking her email as often - the expense) as her last job closed down and she is out of work.

Searcher is right,

If you are waiting for an email response, you may not here anything for a week from some of them. Most usually check email at least once a week at the IC. But some check more often. Every couple of days or so. I am surprised you haven't gotten any yet, but don't be disheartened. You will get replies!

It's OK.. You made the newbie mistake alot of us have made!! They usually won't check your profile. They expect you to email them!! They also expect you to send a photo!!
Just a helpful hint;-)
When they reply, they will usually include photos as well on the first or second contact.

I can't attach photos to the women, and I don't know how to get their email adresses. I'm using the service from this site. Could I attach a link to my photos? Would that help.

I haven't tried the personals software from this site, but you can trythe following:

You can post your pictures in the photo galleries and have the ladies look there. It's not so personal because everyone can see it, but it does accomplish a task.

The other option is to just FTP your picture somewhere (like ofoto.com) and to send the ladies the URL to your virtual photo album.

Good point Bob!

It has been a while since I sent out my initial letters from the Photo Personals section so I couldn't remember what all I did. I have my pics in a Yahoo hoto Album and I think I sent a link to that URL. Yahoo Photo Albums are free!

Just a thought. You could copy a link to your profile and paste it in the messages you send them from the contact email you send them as well.
