Seems like Carlsberg is a major player in Europe indeed, here is an excerpt from their site:

Hi

Carlsbergs is among the top market share in the world. I not recall the exaxt number , 5 I think, maybe number 7.

1) Is Anheuser-Busch with Budweiser.

Other breweries there is bigger:
Heineiken, Fosters and remember a french, but not remeber the name.

But perhaps others.

Carlsberg also make money as consultans, helping building breweries.
