Birthday Gift suggestion

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Hello,

A girl's birthday is coming up that I've been talking to. Maybe just 4-5 times, but she's mentioned she likes surprises and presents and her birthday is coming soon. She's in her early 20's.
I was thinking a watch. Or I was thinking flowers, but that may be more a romantic personal thing?
I haven't done the flower/photo thing yet. But if I buy a gift from the US, I would have to 2nd day it there since here b-day's in a week.
For the flowers I need a ph#? Because we only write back and forth once a week, so it would be too late to ask her for it.
Thanks for the suggestions.

RRR, there are many things you could get her.Women like jewelry, perfume, bubble bath, candles, and other thing.I even had a picture made with pictures I had taken of Rima and I in Tashkent. If you can personalize a gift, women love those types of gifts.Flowers always mean a lot too.I hope these sugestions helped.

On flowers, look up teleflora on your computer. They do deliver overseas.I have used them before.

G'day RRR,
I have read somewhere (on these forums??) that for those who are superstitious, a watch is not a good gift.
Apparently it means something like the relationship will not last the test of time or something similar... (the relationship will only last as long as the watch maybe??)
Either way,
Maybe not the best choice WRT the FSU. But then again, I have done an oddity or two because I am me, and to not be me... well it just wouldn't be me And my plans have always gone off well
How about some nice earings?

You are short on time, so it may have to be the flowers. you hardly know her anyway so flowers would be perfect.

If youd like to see if she is real and a girl you just met gets flowers then how can you lose?

Where does she live?

After only a few months of writing, for Woman's Day, I sent Angela long stem white roses..thinking white would indicate friendship- not love. According to her, it was so romantic. Now white are her favorite - not red.

Besides; sending flowers is at least 1 test to know that you are not being scammed. You will have the her real address, phone # etc. I used an independent agency to deliver them. The woman, without asking, went so far as to interview Angela briefly and send a report back to me.

Good Luck

Go with the flowers. I needed a phone number when I sent them to my GF. Even if you are late a few days, she will still enjoy them ... and be more surprised!!!

My GF's birthday was last Sunday. She didn't want flowers, she wanted clothes, imagine that ... Russian women liking clothes. Anyway, before I left to come back to the states, I left her some money to buy birthday clothes. She was very happy with gift.

Aye they also like their men in nice clothes too, funny how while im reading this Irina is admiring my new clothes

(that she of course picked out for me)

Thanks for the tip Leprechaun, I didn't know that. She never said anything specific about my clothes, just a few neutral comments. I always dressed up when we went out. When I buy her presents or something for myself she always says I have good taste.
