Mother's Day is in 2 weeks and I will be in Russia to meet my GF for the first time. Is it celebrated in Russia? She has a son that lives with her, he's 17. Should I plan a Mother's Day going out to dinner party with her son?

They celebrate Woman's Day in March, but I don't know if that counts as their Mother's Day.I am sure your lady will be able to answer that for you.Good luck on your trip!

International Womens day is 8th March and has far more relevance, Mothers Day in the UK was 26th March in Russia I thought it was the last Sunday in November ??

Generally just March 8, although some women know about Mother's day as it is advertised in some women's magazines, western stores, etc. But I still wouldn't say it's very common.

Start your own tradition! I told Tanya's son about passing out cigars after the birth of his son. He liked it! And so id all his friends that got cigars!
Dare to be different!
