privet! Anyone knowing of an apartment anywhere in MockBa that could be rented for the month of June, 2006!!! I am interested in a private party, not a service! I really only need from 1 June until 19th or 20th.

Welcome to the Forum.
Look here http://www.russianmeetingplace.com/...splay.php?f=308 and search for the Moscow Times newspaper online. I doubt you'll find private apts. online though. Good Luck.

What exactly are you looking for. I might know of one that a friend of mine arranges. It is in the general area of the zoo or white house or hotel Ukrania. $ 70.00 a day, 1st floor, tv, washing machine, furnished, shops nearby, metro 3 blocks, mcDonalds near Metro. well kept up. Driver available if you need it (the owners son who is also a dr.) PM me if you are interested.

Paul has them at www.unclepasha.com and Rick has them also at www.enjoymoscow.com

I've stayed in Rick's apartments before and they are awesome.

If you read Pasha's web site close he says he will not rent to people coming to Russia to meet women. Funny website though. Worth checking out.

As far as Rick, I have heard a dozen horror stories and that is the first favorable comment I have heard. I am assuming that is Moscow Rick you were talking about. I would suggest searching through other posts before you try that and get some second opinions.

Turboguy,
Sounds like the same apartment my wife and I rented twice! Inflation is on the rise. I have to say if it is I highly recommend it! Don't remember a Mickie Dee's though!

How strange. I have yet to see one single horror story about Rick in print aywhere. At least on here or Russia.com there aren't any. He has always done me a superlative job.

And what can I say about Paul? Paul is Paul! I think he prides himself in being a grouchy bastard that hates all stupid Americans. And to be honest with you, most Americans who go to Russia to met Ms Right ARE STUPID! He is getting tired of bad travelers with pompous American attitudes who bark commands like their poop doesn't stink. Sometimes I am embarrassed of the way Americans act overseas. But once you really get to know Paul, he has a heart of gold and is of the most kind, considerate, caring people you will meet in Russia. If his site scared you away, you probably won't want to stay in one of his apartments anyway. He has a fabulous sixth sense about who is cool and who will be a pain in the butt.

Paul......He certainly doesn't beat about the bush....he tells it how it is he he and doesn't care what anyone thinks, but from people I know who have met hiim and got to understand him they all say he is a really good guy when you get to know him.

You must admit he must get lumped with some really ignorant and dumb people from all countries and he has probably go to the point where he just does not put up with it anymore.

How did you get on with him Cheb?

The Paul who is helping me with an orphanage computer project is a different Paul than he wants you to see on his site. His heart is as big as the country he loves.

Pik, AKMike had an excellent suggestion about the Moscow Times. Go to their site and click Real Estate on the left side under services. They have this huge PDF file for a real estate magazine that you can download and print. I used to go through it and dream about buying one of the cool dachas they have listed there. And if I remember correctly, there are plenty of ads for apartment rentals.

Good luck!

Thanks for everyones, input!

I have friends who can make the arrangements for me in MockBa, if I can make the initial contact they can check the apartment(s) out for me. I don't need anything close to downtown, no phone or t.v. is necessary. It would be nice if the hot water was going to stay on ;0) !!!
