Hello, I'm new to the board and have only started to read all the past threads. Could someone tell me if travel agencies as a rule help with the process of obtaining a visa as well as setting up the itinerary? I will be visiting Kiev in 7 or 8 weeks. I'm sorry if I posted this in the incorrect section. Thanks a lot.

You do not need an agency to get your visa. Just go to the Ukrainian Embassy web site and download the form and follow instruction and you will save $50 to $100 that an agency will charge. For tickets go to www.ecomomytravel.com They were $100 cheaper than any other fare I could find when I went to Kiev in April. For everything else such as apt. rental, airport pickup etc. contact Jack Bragg a www.firstdream.com . He is a great guy and will take good care of you from start to finish and his staff in Kiev is top notch. He will also give you a name to use on your visa application as to who you are going to visit.

I like to give a person every chance in the world before going elsewhere but I have been reading on another board that Jack Bragg uses aliases to post on forums and try to steal clients from various agencies. Now what is one to believe? Is Jack a good guy or not? I need to know before I contact him.

First let me say I am not Jack Bragg using another name. I am a very happy client of his agency. I would be happy to give you my phone number if you wish to call and verify that. He is a straight up guy and has a great staff working with him in Ukraine. He married a lady from there and decided to help others thru the process. They say "sucess breeds contempt" and a lot of the other agencys, especially scammers, try to say bad stuff about Jack but I found him to be outstanding as a person and a businesman.
