7.7 Quake hits Eastern Siberia

I have resd reports of a large quake hitting the far-eastern regions of Siberia this morning. The reports I've read are VERY brief, without much detail. There are some reports of 'unknown' damage and 'at least minor injuries'. The area around the epicenter is apparently only sparsely populated (thank goodness).

You know, my F is in Siberia and thats only three hours flight from Moscow (1500 miles). But its almost twice as far again to Kamchatka peninsular (4000 miles), which appears to be in Eastern Siberia. So is everything east of Omsk called Siberia?
