Kazakhstan?

I am new here so pardon me if this sounds improper. But, how come I have not seen many women from Kazakhstan? Several years ago A friend here in the US wanted me to marry his daughter from Kazakhstan, but, I was unsure of the situation so I backed out. She seemed nice enough and worked for an American company in her country.
Just wondering why the last of women/information on Kazakhstan?
