The very best thing about Russian woman...

...Is not their beauty. ( I'm awestruck how there are so many beautiful and thin woman there though. ) The best part is they are naturally nice to each other. I was constantly shocked how nice people are and trustworthy to each other. My analysis is that their Socialist background has taught them to cooperate with each other for results. Whereas American Capitalists compete from each other ( taking as well when possible ), I did not see them taking from each other. The example I came up with is: Two American wolves catch a rabbit for dinner. The wolves have a fight to see who eats first/best. The loser wolf eats the remainder scraps. The Russian wolves agree to carve up the rabbit in 1/2. No wolves bleed. All is shared. I suppose we won the cold war because the hungry American wolf figures out how to catch another rabbit. Need being the generator of invention. TO ALL YOU NON-BELIEVERS. Go there. Meet them. Although we are talking generalities here, they are really nice to each other and were very kind to me at all times. This character trait has endered my Fiance to me. I expect only the best of relationship with her in the future. Whereas an attractive USA woman is typically demanding/rude, I never saw such behavior there. I want my woman to appreciate me treating her well. This is to be much more likely from FSU woman.

Welcome to the RMP, Beenthere...

I look forward to your participation in the forums.

I think that in general, you are right, that Russian Society is more community driven and the U.S. is more individualistic.

Some Russian women do like to compete, for example, and there certainly is jealousy in Russian culture, especially when many families are struggling to get by, and then some families succeed financially. (Lena's family feels some of that in Belarus, since Lena and I help them to purchase some items like a washing machine, which is common in the U.S., but not in Belarus.).

Also, I have heard it said that since many women are competing for the attention of men, that there is some competition there also.

Each culture has its pluses and minuses.

Again, welcome to the RMP.

I was once told (as an employer) that you cannot expect or even hope to hire the person that you think is the best or right candidate for a position in the company but you invariably attract and hire the person most like yourself! This being said, I strive to be a quality human being and therefore surround myself with and tend to attract the same type of people. It is quite obvious to me that you both - Beenthere and Khashyar, as well as most every other person I’ve read here, are quality people and naturally attract the same type of people, whether it be in Russia or here on this site. It is always nice to hear that there are good people everywhere in the world.
Thanks for reading and for teaching!

Hi David,

Welcome to RMP. Yes I agree it's only natural that we all gravitate towards people of similar views and personality

Cheers

It is indeed that "birds of a feather" thing. It is good to be here. I am very surprised to find such a positive place.

I am 45 yet well aware of my newbie status!

My open mind and eyes are fasinated beyond words!

Thats's why us Aussie's stick together.

I think the sharing/cooperation thing goes way back before Communinism. The majority of the people were serfs, and after Alexander II gave them their freedom they were peasants, therefor had to do what they were told and work with whom they were told to work with. I think it is just a cultural trait that is centuries old and works for the because of the severity of life through the ages.
