From experience, on my second trip to Ukraine I got much smarter. Most things are about 80% cheaper there. An apartment in Kiev was $35/night. A train ride ( private compartment ) and modern/clean was $7 to go 300 miles. A big mac is $1.20 but ketchup costs extra for your fries!! Subway is only 5 cents to anywhere in Kiev. The big savings was on medical stuff. I had a toothache for 2 months before going. I had 2 broken crowns and 2 root canals done and 4 fillings done for a total of $450. It would have cost over $6,000 here. They had the same equipment/X-ray machines/drills/computers as USA. BUT, virtually no paperwork and great service. I even got the new improved crowns that are not yet FDA approved that have been all over Europe for 10 years. Next I got an eye exam ( $3 ), and new eye glasses for $42 more. Got my daily prescription ( 3 month supply ) filled for 30 cents on the dollar. The plane ride round trip from Boston to Kiev was $600. Why bother paying outrageous medical insurance when a simple vacation trip to there will give cost savings to be profitable!! And.... for all you NON-believers.... My Angelika is FABULOUS. I'll visit her again in 3 weeks. Gonna get Lasic surgery on my eyes for $500. And a final thought. The first time I went there, I was hanging in the central square in Kiev with my jaw wide open just gawking at the incredible woman walking by. After about 20 minutes, a Russian man who was observing me watching the babes said to me " You an American?" They are accustomed to watching the Billions of beautiful woman there. He could tell I wasn't a local.
