Just wondering if you know who the sister-cities are between US and FSU cities. Detroit and Minsk have had an ongoing sister-city exchange program. The only other ones I can think of are:

Baltimore= Odessa
Santa Rosa, CA= Cherkassy, Ukraine
Chicago= Kiev

Anyone know any others?

Here is the link for the FSU countries, if you click on an individual country you will see the list of their sisters.

Raspberry, how long have you lived in the Puget Sound? If you were here during the Goodwill Games, you might remember the hullaballoo with all things Soviet. Even Frederick and Nelson had a Russian section in their store!!

Myshka, I have only been up here about 3-1/2 years, so wasn't around for the Games.

We have an OUTSTANDING relationship with the great people in Saratov. The Mayor comes here once a year for our Winter Festival. And they are always sending delegations to our fair city. Everyone I have met from there are absolutely fantastic. All thanks go to Tatyana Zimakova and the Russian American Center, and Dallasworld.org.

Funny
I have to ask my wife if she knew her city has a friendship with an american.

The list is limited to US relations. I know my 'hometown' has a programme with the suburb of Skt.Pete called Pushkin.
