Well here it comes another question that needs an answer. If you where to propose marriage, where and how would you do it?

Would it be in private, nice romantic meal, wine and then pop the question.
Would it be in front of her friends or even family and done quite formally
Or just choose your moment when you got the opportunity and you thought the time was right.

Please bear in mind although we have always talked about how it will be when we are together, and I am sure her answer will be yes, nothing is certain in this life, and I would not wish to embarrass her in front of friends and or family, what do you think she would want???

Given my experience recently, I personally won't be proposing to anyone for a while LOL

In all seriousness, I would go for the impromtu moment... in my experience, planning anything too much in advance never seems to work out the way you (rather I) want...

PS. has "impromtu" got two P's in it??

There will be some who plan everything like a military operation and that is the only way they would do it and some who just act spontaneously. I think it depends on the women also as some will like the fact you have put a lot of thought into it and some will lkie the fact you have acted when the moment is right. Impromptu (2p's)

Also it may depend on the situations you find yourself in as sometimes the situation cannot be planned and to miss the oportunity at just the right moment means you need to have done a little planning beforehand. Some planning in advance eg ring etc and then wait for the right moment I think is probably the way.

Just my thoughts anyway

Go for minimum planning and the impromptu moment, preferaby with you and your lady away from to many family and friends. I really dislike planned events for this type of thing it appears unromantic to me.

Anyhoo, back to the question at hand, I would go with chrismc's words, have the basics then when you feel the time is right.
