Information US Visas--in Russian

I find much of the information very helpful on this forum, and am greatly appreciative of the help people give here. If I knew a thing or two, I suppose that I'd be happy to give it...

My Question:
Where can I find "fair and balanced" information about visas for someone to visit the US--In Russian?

I think in my case it would be best if she read about it on her own.

I already know her options for visiting here are limited to the Fiance visa. We've both alluded to a future together, but I don't know the best way to explain that is how she could visit. I love her and I'd marry her tommorow if I could--but she has a few years left in University--I would rather have that our next meeting isn't emotionally draining and overwhelming. It would be better if we can see each other on a more "regular-life" basis.

People tell me that I shouldn't move to Russia...

Thanks in advance.

I think you might be S.O.L. on that one. I've never seen any sites that would help you out there. You could have it translated, printed out and sent to her. Khashyars wife, Lena does phone translations for conversations anlong with many others. Perhaps they could tell her about it on the phone if all else fails.
Good Luck and welcome to the forum.

Hello, Smartjonny!

Please, you can check on some official american sites. Some sites have two version - in english and in russian. However, she will not get american visa. Only K-1.

The lady I use for my Phone translations has a service for .55 a minuet were she provides counseling on such issues.

I used her for this and was impressed. She explained to the Now XGF how visa, taxes, insurance and other things work in the us.

If you want her web address send me a PM.

Well, it was worth a try, anyway. She speaks and reads english well enough that I can have her read from this site. I don't know, maybe I should just talk with her frankly about it. My only thought on the matter is that reading it on her own in Russian would separate--as much as possible--the emotional implications of inviting her to visit with a K-1 visa...

Thanks all for your posts.

The US embassy website at http://moscow.usembassy.gov/ has the information you are looking for. Notice the link in the upper right to switch to the Russian language.

To get to the Fiancee Visa page, click on the Visa Services link on the left side (3rd from the top), then Fiancee Visa (9th from the top).

The link to that page in Russian is: http://moscow.usembassy.gov/consula...cord_id=fiancee
