Dave!

Congrats on Tetyana's upcoming arrival! I glad and excited for you!

From what I've understood from others... give-up on making your house "clean" (by bachelor standards.) Apparently there's a whole different definition of "clean" in Russia!

Don't forget to stop and buy roses (uneven number) to meet her at the airport with!

Congrats again!

Great news, Dave

What would make her feel more comfortable during the first few weeks?

Maybe once she arrives, ask her what she wants to do, and be sensitive to what she needs during the first few weeks (and for the rest of your life together )

Offer her to go shopping for items that she needs (like clothes or other personal items)...

If there is a Russian store in the area, feel free to take her there so that she can buy some things that are familiar to her (but, most likely, she will enjoy the stimulation of her new environment...

And mostly, just enjoy being with one another

I am sure that you will be sensitive to her needs...

It is an exciting time... enjoy your new time together

Khashyar

P.S... she is absolutely welcome to email and call Lena (in L.A.) if she has any questions, or just wants to chat with someone in Russian who can understand what she is going through...

The one thing I have learned in the last 2 weeks is to listen to her. She will tell you what she wants and needs if she feels comfortable talking with you. My Lena likes to email and call her mother often. She has a wish list but most of the things she wants to do will require her to be able to drive here in Atlanta. We will have to start letting her drive soon. Ask questions and let her know that you sincerely want to hear the answer.
