Hello Everyone....

I think that some of you might know that I produce and direct documentary films, and that I am working on a project right now.... (The film is a documentary that we shot in India that features the Dalai Lama)...

I have been devoting my time between the documentary film, the forum and website, helping Lena with her tasks on the website, and my new life with Lena....

There are some days when I need to focus exclusively on my film, and then I do not have the opportunity or energy to write the messages that I would like to write in the forum... But it is important for me to participate in the most helpful and positive way in the website and the forum....

At this stage of the documentary, I am watching and taking notes on footage that we have shot (we have a total of 143 hours of footage that we shot for this project).... so, there are times when I have to absorb myself into this part of the editing process and I am not able to write messages that day (or for a couple of days).....

I produce documentary films because I believe that I can create films with inspiring and positive messages that can make some positive difference in the world...

And, as I have mentioned before, I created this forum and website because I think it can help others in some way...

I wanted to write this so that I could tell you a bit about what my life is like now....

Hi Khashyar,

Your career sounds so awe-inspiring, and I don't think any member could ever blame you for being so absorbed in your work. As as aspiring novelist (and I realise the almost impossible task of achieving publication) I can only imagine the way in which you must concentrate so much of your energy and drive into such projects ... it is fabulous that you produce films to make a difference in this world, completely selfless, and in the same way in which you and Lena have created this website.

That's great that you are writing novels.... Writing is a deeply rewarding effort....

I actually was a news reporter in the past as well as wrote some film scripts and finished a few drafts of a novel, so I can understand that writing must feel rewarding for you....

Yes... I feel that it is important to do things in life that help others, because not only is that other person helped, but we feel even more satisfaction inside ourselves from having helped others and contributing to others' greater happiness....

That was actually one of the themes of the Dalai Lama (to help others and to receive greater happiness in life by helping others)....

Many meaningful things take work and effort, but the reward that we receive afterwards is worth it....

Enjoy writing your novel....

Just a brief update on our documentary projects...

We just submitted one of our documentaries to the Sundance Film Festival.... So.... we are hoping that it will be accepted and that it will do well...

Hi Everyone...

I have been very focused lately on editing my current documentary film that features the Dalai Lama, and I have gone several days without writing in the forum because of my immersion in the editing of the project...

I have finished logging and writing editing notes in the 135 hours of video footage that we shot in India with the Dalai Lama, and currently I am inputing (or "digitizing") the footage into my editing computer. (The digitizing process in about 30% finished)...

I should begin to assemble the first edit of the film beginning in January...

I will keep you all updated on this...

Also, we have entered one of our other documentaries into the Sundance Film Festival, and are waiting to hear back from them... It is EXTREMELY competitive, and I will let you know if it is accepted...

I wanted to keep everyone updated and explain why I had not written much recently...
