Can you recommend night clubs where a single guy can meet plenty of single women in Kharkov Ukraine. Hopefully, some can speak English?

Thanks,

Mark

There are a lot of bars that double as nightclubs, or bars with dancing etc, I will try and dig up some names, I cannot remember them, but take a walk down Sumskaya Street I seem to recall a few there.

If you are going in summer take a walk through Yevschenko Gardens early evening and weekends you will be spoilt for choice.

Chris,

Thanks for the reply. I will be there from May 17 to May 29. It's one of those tour things I am taking. It promises to be nice where I will meet ladies per the socials they have setup for the group of guys which have sign up who are looking for a wife. But I will still want to check out some other places as well.

However, I do not know any Russian.

I spoke to Iryna this evening in Kharkov, but it was a really bad line so couldn't get any names etc, she is working long hours so may not be able to speak again until weekend or early next week, but if I get the chance I will ask for some places. She has no internet acess either at the moment so I cannot ask her in an email, but I may be able to come up with some next week. If not you just need to ask the poeple who are organising things for you they will give you any help you need, most people there are quite helpful.

Regional CoOrdinator for the European Business Association for the Kharkov Region. She is at a meeting with President Victor Yushchenko today. If you read the news you will see he has been in Kharkiv all day today, he has now left to back to Kiev this evening.

It is their elections this week and weekend, so she will be working all the time. But she works very long hours anyway at other times.

Chris,

I will also need a guide-interpreter (English), attractive but pleasant to help me with meetings or touring of Kharkov Ukraine and surrounding areas between May 17 to May 29. How can I find such a person. How much will she charge per day? I have no skills in speaking Russian.

Thanks,

Mark

I heard you do not need a tourist visa if you are an American citizen with a vaild passport, and you plan to stay in Ukraine for just several weeks. So this means I do not have to fill out any type of application? Or pay any type of fee? All I have to do is just show up with my US passport, and the address of where I will be staying? Correct?

Thanks,

Mark

Ukraine sets visa free regime for citizens of the United States of America starting 1st July 2005, citizens of Canada and Japan starting 1st August 2005, citizens of the European Union countries, Swiss Confederation and Liechtenstein starting 1st September 2005, citizens of the Principality of Andorra, Vatican (The Holly See), the Principality of Monaco, the Republic of Iceland, the Kingdom of Norway, the Republic of San Marino starting 1st January 2006.

This regulation establishes visa-free regime of entry to Ukraine and transit through it territory for USA, Canada, Japan, EU, Swiss, Liechtenstein, Andorra, Vatican, Monaco, Iceland, Norway, San Marino passport holders who may stay in Ukraine up to 90 days.

But as I am not a US Citizen you are better asking your countrymen to be sure.

You will have to fill out a small immigration form when you land, but no fees involved.
