Im a newbie here.I am a bit worried.I have been writing for past two years on and off to a noce girl in Russia,We met last year and got on really well.We have writen often to each other. Then last year i metr a brazilian girl and fell for her and she wanted to get engaged. She applied for a fiance visa and gave my birth cert etc to croydon.I backed out at last minute when we argued and she said it was just for visa. Now since then im back with russiabn girl we have booked wedding and have all documents but im worried they may see this last application with my name on,though it was cancelled.Im so worried it will stop my wife from getting visa.Any advice, because application came within time we were still chatting.

Well,i think you have got into a bit of a mess.Im not sure if they will do many checks but i think it is unlikly they would issue a visa if they did find another application. It all seems a bit odd.Didnt you tell you,re russian girl about this.I think you should tell her as it would be terrible if you were to marry and then not get a visa.I think honesty is the best policy here.Good luck.Im sure some of the other guys may help. The fact the application was never completed may be a saving point for you.

I also would like to welcome you to the forum Nathan. But I have to give you the same advice that I gave someone else recently: you don't need to be getting married at all now!!!!! What happens if another sweet thing crosses your path in the near future? It seems that it doesn't take much to get you headed for an exit ramp on the freeway of love.

Thanks for the advice but this girl really is the one.She was all the time but i didnt realise. We marry in sept in Ekaterinburg. As i said last application in london was stopped by me so perhaps it wont be on record.Im so worried it will keep us apart.

Nathan,
I don't know what our british guys are going to say, but I say don't worry. Since you've stopped the application for a previous fiance visa, it is very unlikely that this is going to be a problem. If the visa has been issued, it might have had created a problem. The fact that you, basically, was "dating" two girls at the same time, does not concern the goverment. If you were married to one of them, and wanted another to come as a fiance - that would have been a BIG PROBLEM.

Hi Nathan,

It shouldn't be a problem - and there's no law on how quickly you can fall in love with someone; but for everyone's sake, make sure it's right for you both.

Good luck,

Ade

Welcome,

I think as long as the previous one did not go through to a conclusion one way or the other you should be OK, but don't make the same mistake again!!

Hi Nathan, welcome to the forums mate.

Sorry to hear how your relationship with the Brazilian lady didn't work out. With regards to your Russian lady I think that you should be ok. The fact that you stopped the previous relationship is a big factor. I'm not clued up on the visa process etc, but even if they rejected it there would surely be an appeals process. I would have thought the fact that you personally acted to stopping the previous application would work in your favour. I guess I'm basically agreeing with all above
