PLAN B HELP

DOES ANY ONE HAVE A PLAN B??????

This is a famous boy scout phrase at all the different trainings I help to teach as plan A most the time does not work and most of the time neither does plan B.......But life would not be interesting if everything went the right way JUST A LOT CHEAPER!!!! LOL

If you had been reading my other thread you know what happened ......well a funny thing happened at about the same time....I girl I was writing to last summer who lives in a Village....Yes it is a village I have been told many times, less than 25,000 in the Ukraine on the azov sea . She must have decided that I was a good deal. .....(I hope for the right reasons) As I am a Christian I believe that when one door closes another door opens.......It seems very strange at the moment but in a good way.

We had wrote for about 3 months but I became frustrated with her as she was receiving a lot of mail at the marriage agency and trying to write many guys at one time.....at first her letter to me were long but then just a 1 paragraph..... we got in a little argument and we quit writing each other..... at the same time I meet the EX-GF.

I am thinking about going and seeing this girl.....I think everyone in her town has seen my photo as she had taken it to work and when I sent her flowers last July all the little girls in the shops came to see them. If nothing more it would be a fun trip for me as I know that I would be very welcome there .... earlier her mother has even told me that I could stay with them as I would be a guest and she would not let me stay at hotel.

Anyways I have a few questions.................I will write more about the above latter.

1. I have a visa in my passport for Russia if I do not use it will it affect me getting one in the future

2. I have a round trip ticket from Seattle to Moscow not the Ukraine were this girl lives with a single entry visa to Russia if I was to fly to Moscow and then take the train to the Ukraine I would then not be able to re-enter Russia to fly home ...is this thinking correct.

3. With a unused visa and only 53 days before my trip is it possible for me to apply for a new visa a double entry visa? Can I use the same letter of invite or will I need to get a new one.

4. How much does a plain ticket from Moscow to Kiev cost....should I just eat my ticket to Moscow and buy a new one to Kiev? I would like the new girl to meet me in Moscow but this most likely will not be possible due to her job....she is a editor at a news paper.

5. How does a person get to Primsk in the Ukraine? There is no airport and the only info I find is about a train that runs 2 times a week to a town near there......Is it possible to hire a car for a ride all the way across the Ukraine.....If yes it would be one heck of a ride I bet.

Offhand I have no idea. But if you idle into a Chapters, Barnes&Nobles, or something similar and head over to the international travel section....those "Lonely Planet" books are helpful.

But someone here surely knows first hand how that works....

A 12 hour train ticket was $40 I believe, I can check my receipt.

I do not see any reason it would effect you getting a visa in the future.

2. I have a round trip ticket from Seattle to Moscow not the Ukraine were this girl lives with a single entry visa to Russia if I was to fly to Moscow and then take the train to the Ukraine I would then not be able to re-enter Russia to fly home ...is this thinking correct.

Yes...your thinking is correct. I would hop a plane to Kiev from Moscow. That will solve the reentry part question 3 for you as you would not need a visa for Russia if you do not leave the airport!

3. With a unused visa and only 53 days before my trip is it possible for me to apply for a new visa a double entry visa? Can I use the same letter of invite or will I need to get a new one.

Yes I believe you could. As for the letter of invite, are you going to stay in Russia? The invitation letter is for registering with the Russian Gov. where you will be staying....if this has changed then I do not think you could. I do not know and am curious if you could obtain a transit visa so you could take the train.

4. How much does a plain ticket from Moscow to Kiev cost....should I just eat my ticket to Moscow and buy a new one to Kiev? I would like the new girl to meet me in Moscow but this most likely will not be possible due to her job....she is a editor at a news paper.

Probably around $300 RT give or take. Don't think I can help with the rest!

Plan `C`.....

Mariupol is a possibilty, but there are very few flights--in fact next to nothing.
You may want to try flying into Donetsk. I'm not sure if there is an airport in the city of Azov, Russia.....or fly into Rostov and take ground transportation to the Ukrainian side.

I'm not sure exactly where the town you need to go to is, but I'm trying to think off the top of my head which airports are relatively close....instead of spending all kinds of hours on the trains from Kiev.....
