Tatiana finally arrived home to Russia, almost 24 hours after I put her on airplane. The poor girl is totally exhausted. But she is home safe, warm and sleeping in a real bed.

One note, prior to her leaving she had a tight time table in Chicago to deplane, go through customs, travel to domestic terminal and replane. All this in 1 1/2 hours.
I wrote letter to president of American Airlines asking for assistance for her and also sent fax to corporate and to customer relations asking same.

She was met both coming and going in Chicago by rep who personally guided her... Thank you American Airlines.... "we know why you fly"

Thought I would pass that along.

At least tonight I will sleep good knowing she is back home and safe and warm.

Hi,

Glad you had a nice visit from your friend, and very glad to hear that she had a little bit of courtesy extended to make her travels more comfortable. Nice to hear of an airline doing the right thing.

I hope it all carries on good for you both,

Ade

Refreshing to hear you can still get a bit of personal service from a major company/airline. Not many would go to that trouble unfortunately.

If you saw the documentary on Ryan Air last week you would wonder if you would ever fly again.

Don't you have a Real Bed ? HeHeHe

Good for you Rick, just goes to show these services are available, you just need to ask, and I bet you got loads of plus points for going that extra mile to help her.

That is some good points for AA. Glad the trip/visit went so well for you. I agree you probably got some bonus points for getting her that help.

I know that the scariest part of my trip was the airports; Borispol and being by myself, and JFK with 15 minutes before my plane took off. She will surely appreciate that assistance.
