it depends how you calculate.

I think you forget there is 2 kind of 'russians'. Wrong expressions, but i will try to explain.

I think we normally think of russians as people who emigrated since the collaps of sovjet. However there is a lot russian who fleed the country before the revolution and in some degree between the 2 world wars, who is still considered russian, but is fully integrated in the country.

As an example, the russian church in Copenhagen was founded almost 100 years ago, for 1000 of people there immmigrated to Denmark.

Its the same in USA, in some cities.

There are said to be about 250,000 citizens of the RF, most of whom can be assumed to be Russian in the UK. Mostly around the South East (London).

The Brazil figure may be true......the country has so many people, that even a that large of number may not be noticed. Although I have never been to Brazil, keep in mind they have a number of cities with over a million people. And that Sao Paulo, especially, has people jammed in like sardines.

We've also had people immigrate from Russia to New York and San Francisco even before the Russian Revolution. So they have been here for years. Same with in Alaska, which was part of Russia.

I would have to agree with you guys about Canada, as I think the figure is slightly low. However, I think there are more Ukrainians than Russians under the Maple Leaf.

Very good information... I am surprised to see that there are so few Russians in America and Canada. 338K for the US... Seems low..

OOOhhh Yes I know why, My wife, Dagpop, and GTR's G/F's are not here yet. That must be why the number seems low.

I looked at my area and it is number 85 in the US. I was surprised because my area is about 125,000 in population.

waiting123 - I wish she were here. I think if she saw my place, she would propose to me! She describes her dream house and it is just like mine.
