I go clubbing quite a lot in Dublin, I have many gay friends and the odd time or two we may end up at a gay night, always have a great time.

Whats the gay club scene like in Russia, I did see a few posters on the the drainpipes.

I have found that the scene in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Kiev Ukraine is really hopping from reading online gay russian sources.

Keyword search " Gay Moscow" "Gay Russia" "Gay Kiev" etc.

Many sites are both Russian and English.

There is a successful travel agency which gives 7-14 day tours to both Moscow and St. Petersburg gay areas and clubs; blended in with regular siteseeing too as a group in small coaches. The prices were quite reasonable as well.

I have a Russian friend who wants to come here next summer and visit me and believes he can do it without a problem.

He is most persistent and does not want me to go there on our first inperson
meeting. I offered to take us both on the club tour and he is against it, for fear of being seen there by someone, or perhaps he has other motives.

sigh.....

Here is an excellent English site for information and more links to the clubs:

SB,

Can your friend pay for his ticket to the States himself?

Although a freshman in college, Nick works freelance doing programming jobs he bids on and obtains online. He made nearly 20,000R or about $700 USD last month which I understand is outstanding money for his region of Russia.
One job gave him 30 days to complete, and he finished it in 3 days. It all depends on how hard he works.

The one and only argument we have had in two months was me offering the money for him to come. He was very offended by that. I might add he is now more settled with the idea of me going there first.

He says he will have the money in time. I believe the problem is the US authorities granting him a tourist visa, and there is some kind of rule that will not allow him to obtain a student summer visa until after his 2nd year in college.

If his visa application is denied (yes, he paid for it too) than I will be in Russia this summer.
