Well, it's only a few days before I get back on the plane for SPb (8th Feb) and come home with M on 12th. Looks like there's only a few more days of bachelordom remaining...

Cleared out half the bedroom storage space today and started giving the house a total clean from the top down; even convinced my Mum to pop over tomorrow and give me a hand. I've suddenly realised that living as a single bloke, I really didn't pay too much attention to detail as far as domestic stuff was concerned

I really wish I hadn't decided to actually look under the bed....

lol

So, here it is guys... another singleton bites the dust

Have already agreed to redecorate and make some cosmetic changes (I sent photos to M - what's wrong with putrid orange anyway??? lol). Here endeth another chapter and this time I reckon I'm starting a new book altogether... so long bachelor comrades for soon I shall depart this Utopic World of beer, cigarettes, loud music, fast cars, loose women and cold pizza! At least my liver will be happy lol

You know what? I won't miss any of it (well, very much anyway). Time to grow up and get on with real life... Hopefully I'll be able to continue posting on here, but I guess it won't be quite so often after this weekend.

Hmmm, sounds ominous LOL I'm considering promoting M to "Director of Redecorations, Fixtures, Furnishings and Fittings"..... Perfectly happy about this as, despite the very best of intentions, I never actually got round to doing much after I moved in 2-years ago!!!!! Even I am tired of the glaring orange that the previous occupants left behind LOL

PS. On a serious note, I think it is a great idea for M to dress the house as she want (with a little "input" from me) as this will a) give her something to get stuck into, and b) make her feel more at home, rather than living in my house.

Thanks for the kind thoughts Randy. I'll try to keep posting on here, but in the past M has found the idea of writing my thoughts in an online forum a little "off". I'd like to think that if she has a look on here when she's over, she may change her POV, but I just hope she doesn't get hung up on some of the more "controversial" topics and posts... we'll see!! OK boys & girls (and John and Randy).... here it is... the point of no return! Am off to SPb tomorrow, leaving the house in 5.5 hours! Thought I'd make a last minute post as this may, or may not, be my last! You guys have been a great help (although there seems to be a "not so nice" element around in RMP these days) and I hope M will not mind me posting here from time to time... At the end of the day, we all need to expect a massive, and sudden, change to our lives when we finally get things motoring and here I am... Tally Ho!!!!!
