Hello.

Is it true if a lady from Russia/Belarus and wants to get married to a French man does she have to take special tests, (ie) blood etc, etc and this can take upto a month.

Is France that bad?

And once married the police come round every year to see if you are still married.

Regards

Neil

In America it went out in the trash with the feminist movement.

Now it is more like how much money do you have, what kind of job do you have (money), How big of a house can you buy me, and when I find a better deal how much child support will I get.

On the list of priorities for a American women husband is at lest 3 or 4 down on the list.

Money is most of the times first and then career, children, dog then maybe husband.

Sorry I do not know about the French but here in America we think they are different, so it would not surprise me.

There are medical tests for foreign partners heading to the US as well. What does it have to do with human rights?
P.S. Somehow I don't believe that french police comes around to check on anybody's marriage...

well, a few weeks ago i picked my mother up at the dentist's.
There you have the dentist and three female assistants.
One is a slim, (average ) pretty ash blondie about my age.
I go there too, when i need my teeth fixed.

My mother reported the following conversation:
when said ash blondie was attending to her, the conversation revolved around me and she asked whether i was married etc; she said that i looked like an intelligent person, blahblah; they exchanged a few words about my education, then the magic words: what would my job be?
Now i don't need a triple ph.d in psychology to evince that she was "ranking" me - even under fictitious pretenses-.
So i can be triple Ph.D but if i only can sell encyclopaedias or cold call pimping water coolers, then i'm -obviously- less of a catch...
i'm speechless but so is life.

If you have an issue regarding passing a blood test (some do) there are other options. Costa Rica for one.

Until you get input from someone with French experience the answers may be easy to find online. The internet is treasure troll of information. My gut feeling is that depending on immigration procedures in France, she may have to report each year of her marriage status until obtaining citizenship.
This is a wild quess and I have no knowledge of French laws.

I have done a lot of reading, and no where did I find the KGB moved to Paris!
