Georgia's contentious relations with Russia hit a new low in the wake of the Jan. 22 attacks on a pipeline supplying gas to Georgia. Without supplying evidence to support their claims, President Mikhail Saakashvili and other Georgian officials accused Russia of engineering the explosions as a means of triggering a political crisis in Georgia.
