How are "name days" celebrated?

While looking at a Russian florist website I came across "name days (angel days)". Do any of you know what this is? The website didn't explain what it is, it just gave the dates for various names. Will my girl be expecting flowers or a letter congratulating her on her name day?
Thanks,
Dave1

That's the dates of a saint with the same name. Like all Valentines have their "name day" on Feb 14th. Many names don't have a name day. For example, my given name does not, so I had to get a different name when baptized.
I don't think she will expect any present for this day, unless she is very religious and celebrates it.
