Dating Agencies and fiance visas

I was wondering if Dating Agencies benefit by helping to arrange Fiance Visas?
I'm meeting my 'girlfriend' for the first time in March.
We plan to spend 6 days together just to get to know each other and to see if our relationship is going to progress.
I certainly don't think that after 6 days I'm going to want to get engaged.
If I had a 6 day romance in my own country i wouldn't feel compelled to get engaged at the end of it.
I just wanted to know if anybody else has had Agencies trying to rush them into applying for a fiance visa after an intitial meeting with one of the girls on their books?
I've been told ' if you find you like each other, i will need some information from you and then i can start the process of getting your fiance visa'.
Talk about running before you can walk.
It's not going to help things if the Agency has been telling my 'girlfriend' that she will soon have her visa and just to leave everything to them.
I'm concerned that when I say that I need more time that my 'girlfriend' will take this as an insult and that my actions will upset her.
My idea is to go back to Russia later in the year and if things are still going well and we are at a stage where we 'both' feel we want to get married, then that would be the time to apply for the visa.

Definitely sounds like the agency want to maintain as much control as possible because of course they can make more money from you. If I were you I would use your visit to set up alternate ways of contacting her, visit an internet cafe near her home and setup a free email account for her, www.front.ru is a good one, then you can communicate without the agencies help. Or maybe buy here a mobile so you can text each other, abit more expensive than free email. The main thing is to take control when you are there, you should move at your own pace and not feel pressured into anything just because they can make some money out of you. Also Russian women seem to like men who take control and make decisive decisions, it is apparently a very desirable attribute for a future husband.

A fiance visa will cost you Ј260 plus her travel costs, unless she has to use the Moscow Embassy where they now only accept applications by approved couriers/travel agents. One important thing to note is to make sure she has an international passport, all Russian people have a internal passport but few have an international one, it can take 4 or 5 weeks to obtain one.
