Respect my friend!!!
I never realised it could get that cold. I assumed perhaps -20C on the rare occassion, but not -34C. Clearly I have a lot to learn

Ukraine is not in Siberia.
I think I didn't type the sentance properly. I was meant to say that I didn't realise it could get that cold in Siberia. I know Siberia is not in Ukraine, but in Russia. However I appreciate the reminder

, and more fires started through lightning strikes. it isn't a nice feeling watching your neighbours farm burn waiting for the sparks to set your own place alight and wondering what you are going to do with 5 horses. BTW our farm is still grassy so the fire didn't get to us.|

He also says if the mercury reaches its forecast temperature of 41 today, Alice Springs will match the 1971 record of 12 days in a row above 40. Mr Cleland says warm temperatures are likely to continue until Friday, meaning the town could break both records. "Over the next couple of days it might cool a little bit, I am not sure it will feel that much more comfortable though the cooling will be associated with a bit more humidity coming in as well, so generally staying quite warm," he said. |
. Now I go into hiding to keep away from all the ten gallon hats on the five gallon heads. I could describe how they look even more but I dn't want to insult various cyber friends so I will suggest that you watch the news over the next coupla weeks and see what a bunch they look like. Hey we have both types "country AND western". I miss good old Aussie music like Chisel, Aussie Crawl, Men At Work etc. I think I am showing my age.

I'm going Kiev possibly in early February. I'm sure it will be a warmer then. However Kiev I'm sure is always going to be warmer than Siberia, isn't it?|
