Hi,

If you're ever lucky enough to be in Bratsk, make sure you head over to the Calypso restaurant, fantastic and specialises in seafood; get the salmon covered in a creamy sauce and prawns (whatever it's called).

Second port of call should be the Bratsk Hotel, nice restaurant, good sushi and an altogether enjoyable experience.

The Taiga Hotel breakfast/lunch bar is nice enough, but the restaurant there is definitely not to be recommended.

Hi,

It was disappointingly warm, staying in the mid -20's most of the time, and even heating up to a measly -12C.

I have, of course, photos of myself in a suit and tie, stood out in -20C......sort of opportunity I couldn't pass up
