What do you think is the best way to meet a Russian Woman, online, Romance Tour, Marriage Agency, etc. ?

Hi Scott,

Well, I'm guessing that the members of this forum have probably experienced meeting a Russian in all the possible ways! So you'll probably get some excellent feedback.

As for me, I initially began my submitting a profile to an online agency and writing to a few women. I ran into a scammer or two, but the majority of the people I wrote were genuine in their intentions.

I guess what I'm saying is that there's no one "sure fire" way to meet your soul-mate. Try the various ways, but remember that you've got to really get to know these women as people. That means spending time getting to know them, their likes and dislikes, their family, their childhood, etc. With all that, I think you'll be able to find the right person for you.

BTW, I think the "socials" some agencies put on are interesting, but I'd think you would have a hard time really getting to know the person you spoke with. I have done the "rapid dating" scene locally (where you interview your date for 5 minutes, then move onto the next person) I found that I couldn't adequately remember details about each person I spoke to. And that was just speaking with 12 women over the course of an hour. Now imagine many more women over 4 hours and introduce alcohol... man, I'd be a wreck with post-it notes everywhere on my body!

Wow, is this a dead topic or what? I'm going to try to revive it.
If you don't like going through a marriage or dating agency,
I have found that penpal sites, chat, yahoo groups, friend finder, ICQ, and many other sites, are an excellent resource for locating women from Russia and other FSU countries.

Yes, these free sites are a way to meet women from the FSU. I know of several people who have met their wives/fiancées in this manner.

However, I believe there are also a much higher percentage of scammers to be found through these sources also. It offers them an opportunity that cost little, and has no supervision.

One benefit of using a reputable contact (agency and/or agent) in the FSU, is that it allows for some screening to take place before you fly half way around the world. There are no guarantees with anything when it comes to love and relationships, but your odds of success have to be better than hoping to run into the right person on the free sites or in a chat room.

I thought this should be mentioned and clarified. Write to quite a few women! You will learn a little about each one and alot about a few of them. My reasoning I found was a revelation more than a reason. I thought at first that doing this would give me a good amount of choices when it came time to pare down the numbers of women to communicate with. What I found after a month and a half was, I didn't have to choose! The woman I have developed a relationship with just became the clear choice and I got to the point where communication with others was irrelevant. The choice was made for me naturally without me having to actually make one. The great thing about it was she had the same revelation!! That is when I found the choice was right! When you really don't have to choose! The tough part is ending communication with those that were not your choice. I had a few that were very nice women that I knew had become interested in me. Those were hard letters to write. But I was very gracious about it and you know, almost all of them were thankful that I was honest with them and wished me good luck in my relationship.
