Can anyone give me any info concerning transfering flights from Sheremetyevo 2 to 1 in Moscow. I am planing a trip to Volgograd and have no info on what is required (such as a transit visa from SVO 2 to SVO1). Or how to fet from one to the other. If a transit visa is necessary then is this totally seperate from the tourist visa required for my visit. Any info will be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!! IRON MAN

If I understand you correctly, you are implying that you already have or are getting a regular (tourist) visa for Russia. I will be very surprised if you will need a separate transfer visa then, as I understand this is something neccessary you are using Russia simply as a transfer for getting to your final destination (3rd country). The registration of your visa will happen in your final destination in Russia, and needs to be done 3 business days after your arrival.

I have never transfered from She2 to She1 myself, but I have heard from many that there are buses for transfer just outside the terminal building at She2. They even have a map of She2 online at their site, so it may be a good idea to study it. But do not worry, as She2 is not a big airport it is not that difficult to get around.

Try if you can though, to have some extra time added in your schedule to have a safety margin.

Good luck!

Yep, the bus passes by it, they are not far from each other, about 15 mins if I remember rightly.

You don't need any kind of transit visa to travel through Moscow on your way to another city.

If you applied correctly (by listing all the cities you'll visit), then both Moscow and Volgograd will be listed on your visa. You can register in Volgograd at your hotel or the nearest police station (within 72 hours of arrival).
You don't need to do anything in Moscow unless you are spending the night.
If you're going to spend the night in Moscow and fly out in the morning, your Moscow hotel will register you for that night in Moscow. You'll need to choose a hotel that can register you if you have an early flight because getting in and out of a Russian police station quickly can be problematic. Usually it just takes a moment, but you never know.

It sounds more complicated than it really is.

Thanks for finding the She website. I have been thinking about studying Russian in Russia - Volograd or Arkhangelsk and have worried about transfers between She1 and She2.
