Hi All,

I'm having kind-of an informal "End of Summer" party at my townhouse complex in Huntington Beach on August 31. (This is the Sunday of the Labor Day weekend.) I think it would be great to get all the Southern California people on this forum together (or if you'll be in SoCal, you're welcome to attend.)

My association's "club house" holds 40 people and I'll need names and number of people attending. Please feel free to reply here or email me at:

If we have more than 40 people, I may move everything to the beach where we'll have pizza, soda (sorry, no alcohol on the beach) and a bonfire.

So the pertinent info is (tentatively):

Date: August 31
Time: 12:00 - 4:00 PM
Place: Huntington Beach, CA
Menu: simple foods... pizza, pasta, lasagna, salads, etc.

I'll post an update here if I'll need to make this a "beach party" instead of a "club house party."

Lena and I will be there, and Lena is going to invite some of her married Russian women friends (and their husbands).

Hi everyone....

I justed wanted to remind everyone about Bob's party in Huntington Beach, CA (which is just south of Los Angeles-- about 35 to 45 minutes south of Hollywood) on August 31....

Lena and I are going to come, as well as 3 of Lena and my Russian women-Western men couple friends of ours who live in the L.A. area....

This would be a chance for people in the Russian Meeting Place forum who will be in the L.A. area to meet, to talk in person about Russian things and Russian-Western relationships, and to just hang out and have some fun....

Bob also lives fairly close to the beach, so we could also go to the beach and swim/ play in the sand

as well.....

So, email Bob and let him know if you would like to go....

Bob is a great guy, and some interesting people are going to be there....
