bittersweet family reunion

thought others may want to read this about a woman going back to ukraine to meet some long lost, but now found, relatives. my impressions of visiting ukraine were similar: you could be in a restaurant as fine as any in NYC, then go 100 hundred yards down the street and wonder what century you are in. also reminds me of an exchange i had with a ukrainian woman who travelled from kerson to odessa where i was staying. i said i was curious to see what it is like in the countryside between the two cities. she said there is not much to see besides a lot of poverty.

That was a good story. Tatysik knows those villages that were mentioned and has been there. She even said that she will make the 'Zapikanka' for me..

That was a good story and I too have seen some of the poor country side.I t makes me thank full for what I have and should allways remember ....... Or maybe a slap in the head will wake me.
