"watermarking" photos in the Russian Photo Galleries?

Hello....

I was trying to add a "watermark" to the bottom right hand corner of photos in the Russian Photo Galleries so that people could not download any of our photos and potentially use them withour permission, but I had a hard time creating a decent watermark (just just reads "russianmeetingplace")....

I am not sure what to do about this....

At the moment, only registered members can view a regular-sized image of one of the photographs in the Russian Photo Galleries, so perhaps it is not important to watermark the photos there.

And, another factor is that it seems that watermarking will only be seen on photos that are submitted AFTER the watermark is in place.

Perhaps for now, I will just leave the watemark out, although there are a couple of photos that will seem to permenently retain the watermark that I was experimenting with.

Please feel free to write your thoughts about this...

there are a few ways to do this.
Usually a watermark is just a mostly transparent image layered over the original.

You can have the upload button send the pictures to you via e-mail where you apply the watermark and post it to the sight.

You can make the watermark available to members so they can do it themselves (takes 2 secs if you know how)

You can forget the watermark and disable the "right click" feature on the photo pages. This is easy and a common way to keep people from "stealing" pics.

There is also a way to put a "lens" of sorts that the picture is displayed behind (so if you right click you save a copy of the lens with the watermark- but not the pic behind it), but this gets complex, and I have no idea how to do it.
