Hi Everyone,

As you can see, the RMP forums are working again, after having been transferred to a new server.

I had to wait about 3 days for my wbhost company to move all of the website files and databases, but.... It is finally working

On this new server, we will have twice as much bandwidth allowance, as well as 6 GB of server space (as opposed to 800 MB on our old server).

And, I think that since this is a newer server, that it seems to be running faster at the moment.

I'm paying a bit extra for the bigger, faster server, but I think that this will be worth it, since I believe that I can now put video onto the website as well......

My forum pages are loading very fast when I open or reload them.....

I believe that this will be a very beneficial move for the RMP...

I was a little anxious for the past 3 days, waiting for my webhost company to transfer the site and databases, and hoping (but having faith) that everything would be fine.

I am very happy that everything is back to the way that it was, except we will have significantly more room to grow both the forum and website.

And, it seems to me, at least, that the forum pages are loading faster.

I wonder if this server is faster (since it is newer, and I'm spending more money per year on it

)

I will be adding some very nice additional features to this forum in the next week, that will make it very unique and with features that will make it one or two (or even three) leagues above other Russian forums out there.......... (I will show you in the next week or so

)

The new forum looks great, and it is faster. It is rare when you can combine those two things. Looks like the work and patience paid off.

One of the members say they miss the gallery at the top, i agree, i think its a great tool for making others want to post thier own photos =o)

That's great that you are experiencing the forum as being faster, Chris and jpierce.

Lep... Yes, I agree that it was nice to have to random photo page on the top of the forum page... That is one of the features that I will put back sometime this week. (I also like looking at the random photos, AND the random reviews at the bottom of the page).

Has anyone been experiencing a slow down of the site recently? I am accessing the site from two different computers on on a 8mb connection and one at work which is on something faster (don't know what) and both seem to have long delays loading pages, and when answering posts etc.

Anyone else having problems? or is it just me.

BTW this has been going on for around 2-3 weeks now?

On both OS X and Windows environments. Also sometimes get a "zero sized reply" when I post. Just means I have to hit the back button in the browser to get to the page before I posted and do a refresh.

I haven't had those problems with OS X. I have sometimes had a few quirks (with various web pages) in Opera and Safari lately.

It is a bit odd, even just now the pages seem to be quite slow loading, there is no reason why they should be that I am aware of at my end though?

I recently changed from Firefox back to IE7 browsers if that makes a difference? apart from that I have done nothing different recently.
