What Khashyar is asking if you are affiliated with that web site, is it your business or are you just posting this for informational purposes.

The reason he asks is because the forum rules specify that businesses that post links to their sites post them in a specific place, not just in the general forum, etc...

If you are just a regular member (not a business trying to advertise) you are quite welcome here (and so are business too, in the right context).

We just needed some clarification about the nature of your post.

No, news sites are interesting, and we like to pass anything that is helpful to our viewers.

I just don't want the case where someone joins the forum just to post an advertisement for their website or service, and does not participate in the discussions here....

Our forum members, in general, don't like to sift through SPAM and ads, so we keep these forums advertisement free.

What is "Globtrotter_Bot"... is it a program that you wrote that takes news from different news sites?

And... did you create the news bot (with Google ads on top) primarily to be able to make money from the click throughs from your visitors?

About writing Globtrotter_Bot: hmm..I guess two main reasons:
1) I wanted to have a site which would keep an eye on the recent news development on a few topics that are interesting for me and my friends, and maybe one day for a few more Internet users, too.
2) I thought I could do it quite easily, so why not

About Google ads: hmm.. again two reasons:
1) Wanted to see how it works

2) A safety-valve in case traffic increases, and some money would be necessary to pay for it.

About business:
1) I didn’t really think about Globtrotter_Bot as a business, but rather as a playground, which hopefully might be useful for other people.

Russia:
Some Russian, Byelorussia and Ukrainian friends, a little bit of Russian, The Master and Margarita, an interesting neighboring country.

About Smilies:
Cant stop using them
