A Macedonian, who was travelling by car in Italy
with his wife and child,
left his wife at the petrol station accidentally and realised that only after six hours of driving.
This incident took place on the coast at the resort town Pesaro,
where the couple and their 4-year-old daughter stopped to fill up the tank on their way home to Germany. Having refuelled the car,
the man drove away without even noticing that his 30-year-old wife,(she was in the bathroom at the time) was actually not in the car with him.
The woman had to face quite a problem: she had no money and no documents.
Everything had been left in the car. She applied to the police, who found her husbandon the way to Milan, 340km away from Pesaro.
The nebbish husband explained to police officers that he did not notice that his wife was missing,
because she always sits at the back with their daughter.

last a simular indicent happen, here, where I live. I live next to the worlds 2nd longest bridge (only 8 yards, short from the record).

Anyway a family was driving from Copenhagen (think, they came home from Sweden), where the wife drove the car and the man slept at the back seat.
She stopped to go to the toilet. The man wakes up and also go to the toilet. The wife return, enter the car and start driving, thinking her husband is still sleeping back in the car.

He got the police, to stop the wife about 30 miles away. Unfortunately, there was not info, if she go back to get him (which meant that the family had to pay 80$ in extra toll) or the husband somehow got the wife.
