Hi all,

I met a Russian girl more than 3 months ago over the internet. Nice girl. No asking for money. Sound sincere. However, two days ago, she actually sent me an exact email you sent me 1 week ago. Even the photos she sent with the earlier email were also re-sent. When I asked her for the reason, she said she forgot that she had sent this email before. Besides, she said she always pre-write her emails in Russian and translate the draft at the computer club. I don't find this convincing enough. I mean...two translations at two different times giving the exact message, word for word??

Any comments? Thanks

Could it happen? Sure. Run the same text through the same translation software, and you will get the same result.

Did it happen? Only she knows. If you "don't find this convincing enough" then I would guess you have other things you doubt. I'm not going to try to convince you one way or the other. That's for you to decide.

I did notice one thing. You have not "met" her yet. You are corresponding with a voice coming out of your computer. To me, a big difference.

Good point ConnerVT. Thanks for sharing. I never thought of the point on translation software. I would only meet her after I have reached a certain level of confidence. I am taking this with an open mind for now.
