I had read a question about how to add bold text to your messages in a forum message.

Here are the instructions:

1) begin writing a new message

2) where you want to have bold text, click on the "B" button that is above the "http" button above the typed message.

3) type in the text that you want to display in bold in the popup text box that appears

4) press the "ok" button, then the bolded text will appear at the very bottom of your message, where you will them need to move it to the place where you want bold text.

*This will also work with underlined (u) and italicized (i) text as well

**please note that you will also need to move the beginning and ending bold code tags with the word. The "tags" are within the [ ] 's.

The code for bold text is [ b ] sample text [ / b ] <
An [b]easy[b] way to include bold text in your message is, while you are typing you message, include the [ b ] and [ / b ] around the text that you want to bold (without the spaces withint the brackets, of course).

Make sure that the second bold tag [ / b ] that is at the end of your bold word, has a slash "/" before the "b", like this: /b ..... the slash "/" indicates that this is the END of your bold text

Similar codes apply for italics text: [ i ] words to italicize [ / i ], and for text that you want to underline: [ u ] words to underline [ / u ]

You might be wondering why the need for these codes?

These codes are in "html" language, which is the standard programming language that webpages are written in.
