Hi folks,

I have checked with my satelite tv provider, and they do offer two or three Russian channels (Dish Network). Tatiana has asked if she could listen to Russian radio here. Does anyone know if there are good Internet Russian Radio stations or maybe satelite programming?

I would be interested in that as well.

In the meantime, you can give her an account at www.allofmp3.com - they have a large selection of cheap music at $0.02/MB

Do you have WINAMP on your PC? If not, download it, go to "file", klick on "Internet Radio". It will bring up the list of the Radio stations. The second column on the left in is alphabetical order. Scroll down to the "R" and you will find at least 4 Russian radio stations. If your lady likes dance and pop-music, she will like those stations.

If you want a nicer program download iTunes. It will also allow you to listen to internet radio.

It is available for Windows or Macintosh OS

...of course, i'm partial to the Mac OS version myself.

Now, Apple where is my check!

Russkoe Radio plays in our home daily.

We also get RTN (WMNB-TV, NY) on our cable, although the only thing we watch on it is the evening news. I now know a lot of what's going on in Brighton Beach.

This is the webpage of "Tele Nedelya" - one can get it in various Russian stores for free : www.russiantvguide.com

I used to read this stuff just to improve my Russian.

Actually Dish Network has FOUR Russian TV stations: RTV, RTVI, NTV, and Channel 1. They are ALL great!

I pay about $70 a month for the addition of the four.

Hello Forum Members

I know that this thread is old, but for those who are still interested in, there is a Russian radio in Los Angeles area, and you would need a SCA (SUB CARRIER ARCHITECT) radio. I bought this SAC radio on the ebay for $29.99
http://stores.ebay.com/radiosca
And you need to tune into 89.9 FM at 67 KHz
Now you can listen to Russian radio 24 hours a day.
