Has anyone caught the Wide Angle show by Bill Moyers on PBS tonight? It was on the Belsan school tragedy. It was very sad, but very well done. They spliced actual footage from the siege, including what looked liked internal footage by the terrorists. Also some very sad interviews with surviving children, mothers and teachers.
Also after the show he interviewd two journalist who have a new book on Russia out. (Kremlin Rising, I believe) Mostly about Putin and roleback of democracy. They also gave a little history of the Chechen conflict.
Very good show, difficult to watch but worth it.
I was in Russia shortly after the siege. It was the only time I registered with the US embassy, just in case.

Thanks for sharing the information, Anna...

It sounds like a good program. I have always liked the topics on Bill Moyers' programs, especially the Joseph Campbell "Power of Myth" series.
