Hi...

I just posted 5 photos of Miss Russia 1930-1932 in the Russian Photo Galleries (www.russianmeetingplace.com/photos )...

I scanned them from old German tobacco cards that I bought... It's interesting to see the concepts of beauty from different time periods, as well as to see fashion, etc. from 1930's Russia...

I also posted an OLD photo of Moscow and the Moscow River (with the Kremlin in the background).

I loved the old poster "don't chat". I once found a site that sold some outstanding communist propaganda posters and pictures. I wish I could remember where it was. They were a hoot!

I liked the "Don't Chat!" poster too...

I actually have many more photos about Russia on my hard drive.. I am just trying to put the ones in our Photo Galleries that I think that would be the most interesting for our group...

I just ordered this very interesting old book from the early 1890s that has many old photos of 1890's St. Petersburg and Moscow. I am going to scan some of these photos and put them in the Photo Galleries as well...

I also have some more Soviet Proaganda posters, and I'll post those in the near future...
