I would like to know if anyone has experience or knowledge of the Maksim Agency. I am currently using their free trial offer and seem to have some success receiving responses to my letters as well as to my brief profile. So far, the contacts seem genuine and sincere.

The trial period is free because the contacts are paying for the service rather than me. At some point very soon, I'm going to have to make a decision to whether to go with this agency or choose another such as Elena's Models, as recommended by our generous moderator. My problem is that it appears that Maksim is fairly expensive for the services that they provide, but if I choose to change agencies I lose the contacts that I have already made... one of which I would really prefer to not! On the other hand, I would not like to vest myself into an agency that isn't the best for my situation. I would appreciate any advice!

There are some reputable agencies out there...

I think it's a good idea to carefully investigate and consider which agency you feel most comfortable about, and which one fits your needs.

But, stay aware that there are also some agencies that are not scrupulous in the way that they treat their female and/or male clients.

It's not a big secret I 'meet' my Natalie via volgagirl.com and they are pretty good/honest. They have a good rate in translating letters - and I like to see how many times an address has been sold.
There is to my knowledge one big chain in Russia selling address' to around 25 agencies. I would NEVER choose one of them, they are pretty easy to recognize. they have to letters and 4 digit to desctibe the lady (like ab1234).
Always look after if they have a credit card encryption program like SSL or Twantee.
Make sure that you get the address of the lady immediately after paying for it, otherwise leave it. There is some webpages on blacklisting, even some agencies.
A finally advice: don't look after the 'pretty' girls only. Does she show skin, forget about her. If you look at the scammers list, I will say 9/10 scammers are damn pretty and shows skin. Its a hard business, Natalie was my 4th contact and I know she still get letters from men at the other agencies.

Maxim is ok, if not a little expensive. I couldn't recommend them though.

If your decision is one or the other between Maxim and Elena's Models, go with EM.

I agree with Jutman about Volgagirl.com as well. The owner, Craig Jay Rich, runs a well operated business and is very honest. If a lady does not reply to your introduction letter, Craig will credit your account so you can get another lady's info for FREE! Also, he is very good about responding to your emails. I have emailed him several times about different things and he has responded VERY quickly and works hard to help you out.

I went the weekly newsletter ($99) way through Elenas Models. Went through 4-5 issues, wrote 5 letters, got 2 responses.

The girl I am writing through this contact is with the Russian Peals agency in Barnaul (but got the contact through Elenas weekly newsletters - And her profile is still up at Elanas). The agency has been helpfull. First phonecall (30 minutes) with translator was free, next was $15 and was about 15 minutes. They can arrange gifs/flowers as well, for standard prices. I was not charged for the under-developed picture of her receiving the flowers.

If I want phone calls without translator, then there is no problems. Letters are still free. Not sure if she can read them in english or if she pays for translation.

The owner of the company has tried to reassure me about the girl, and has let me have a couple small hints, since she knows the girl.

I am very happy with the service and pricing.

Elenas Models also has a referal program where she recommends Maxim, and I have seen other reports on the net about good experience there.
