Hi Everyone,

I was speaking with Lena today about our wedding, and we would like to invite some of the members of the Russian Meeting Place to our wedding in Belarus on September 16th and 17th.

I am posting photos and a description of the wedding in this thread:

We would like to try to accomodate everyone who would like to attend.

We will be having over 100 guests and family so far, but we would like to get a sense of who would be interested in coming...

Tickets to Belarus during this time will be anywhere from $1,100 to $1,350, and most of you will need a Belarusian invitiation and visa.

(By the way, Lena said that romance sometimes blooms on the sidelines of Russian weddings

...I suppose that is similar to all weddings in all parts of the world.)

it is extremely kind of you and lena to extend the invite. if i wasn't a school teacher, i'd be right there. unfortunately, september is not an option for me. but i look forward to the pics.

Yes, Pin Boy, you are definitely invited if you are able to attend.

Teaching children is a very important profession, so I perfectly understand that you would have difficulty taking time off. (I know that many children receive much of their moral education at school).

Hopefully we'll be able to meet in person one day.

Our ETA on the East Coast is the summer of 2006.

For the time being, we are going to rent out the house that we purchased in Fells Point in Baltimore.

I spoke with BradIL today, and he will most likely be attending our wedding in Mogilev....

You are more than welcome to attend, if you can manage it.

Perhaps Lena and I should arrange a "singles picnic" or event in Mogilev for Lena's single friends and acquaintances, and anyone from the RMP who would like to attend our wedding?

If this might help both Lena's friends, as well as some of the visitors to our website, then Lena and I would be happy to do this.

(We of course would not want to charge anything for this). Perhaps we could ask for a $25 donation or so to cover the cost of the food and drink at the singles event? (I will have to think about that, and receive your feedback about this).

Is there anyone interested in this kind of singles event in Mogilev during the time of Lena and my wedding?
