Well, I finally got back from my month in Russia. May 7th Tatiana and I got married following the Russian traditions. It was a real adventure getting all of the documents and "gifts" taken care of but we got through it and are now happily married. Anyone that is thinking about getting married in Russia, dont. It is more trouble than you can believe. It would be much easier to wait for your fiancee and do it here. That being said, I am glad that I did it this way for the sake of her family and friends. It was very hard to leave my new wife at the airport and return home after only being married for 10 days. Now the even harder part, the waiting for the visa. I dont know how anyone else can stand it, it is driving me crazy being separated from my wife, but I have no choice and have to be strong for the months that it takes. I will be happy to tell some of my stories if anyone wants to hear them.

Thanks Pin boy. How about the story of the $100 bribe at the foreign ministry to get our documents notorized in less than 10 days. FYI, the us embassy in Moscow is very helpful to Americans in need, my thanks to them.

Congratulations Skinman! The waiting will be worth it. I'm leaving Sunday to go and get my Tanya after a very long wait. I can't wait to get her here so we can start our nrew lives.
