Hi everyone.. Sorry I have not been participating on the board. I have been very busy. Well firstly, Nadya has been with me since October 26. We got married on November 19, 2004. I can't believe it has been over 6 months!!! Nadya lost her mother in April to Alshiemers. It was a difficult time to be sure. But we are expecting a baby in October and we are both very excited about it. I thought she would want to give it more time before having a little one, but as she said, we aren't getting any younger.
Over all, she has adjusted very well, my family has taken her in as one of the family and frankly, Nadya fit in very well. Nadya has made friends here that she calls often. I am thankful everyday that I wake up that I met this wonderful woman!
Now Nadya is learning how to drive and we are awaiting our interview for her green card. Things have went fairly uneventful with the BCIS and all. She was very happy to find a Russian store here in Columbus as well as a Russian Orthodox Church. I know it helped having the church when her mother passed on.
Well.. That's all the news for now, I will post pictures when I can.
I have many to post if I can get time!

Kevin

I'm glad to hear that all is going well now. I agree finding a church she feels comfortable with is important. We don't have many russian orthodox church but one we did find has good people that care about us as we do about them. We alternate between her's and mine which works for us.
We also discovered a euro food store near Harrisburg that has dried fish, sunflower cooking oil and other favorites. Unfortunately we haven't found cavaier yet.
There are some sites on the internet that have sample questions that will help with the drive test. We also would spend an hour in the bull pen at the driving test center. There was lots of parallel parking practice time. I wish you luck with all the good changes happening in your life.

i congratulate you and your new wife and your families!

Kevin - sorry to hear about the loss of Nadya's mother. But with Alzheimer's, she's undoubtedly in a better place now.

Congratulations to you, Nadya, and Jill on the October babies! That's fantastic news for all of you!

Wishing everyone the very best!

Bob
