Hi Everyone,

I am wanting to post some of the most useful threads from our discussion forum on the Russian Meeting Place website as articles.

1) Which threads have been the most helpful and beneficial to you?

2) Which threads do you think would be most interesting to a first-time visitor?

3) Which threads contain very good reference information?

Thanks for helping me decide which threads to include on the website.

I found the plus's and minus's of tours versus going alone very helpful.

Helpful threads: Any kind of trip reports. Threads with real world experience with potential pitfalls in this process. Threads from FSU women telling us what they don't like from AM.

Not helpful threads: Endless debates on who is better RW/AW, RM/AM. Continuous negative posts about this whole process.

Trip reports with recommended do's as well as pitfalls to avoid.

Thanks for your feedback, guys...

Were there any threads in particular that stand out in your mind?

I think that I might create a new website section called "Essays and Articles" that will be accessible from the home website page.

Actually, I think that I am going to work, over the next few weeks, to redesign the home page, but I don't want to get into a discussion about that in this thread...

If you could mention which specific threads that you found most interesting and helpful, then perhaps I can add some of them to the Essay and Article section.

Thank you for your feedback.

Stoicmans travels. I liked the evaluation and rundown of each. It was like a rose ceremony on the bachelor. The cell phone seemed like a good idea until there was some feedback about repercussions when it rings during a date. I thought this was a good way of going about the process even had cost included. Something I didn't think about much.

Let me see...since I'm kinda new to this place....

Well last night i spent just under 2 hours going over your last trip to Mogilev....i made a comment there but found a couple of things that I liked about it.

1: Firstly (and most importantly i think) You are a helluva good storyteller. Kept your trip both informative and seemingly lacking any over-embelishments....and it was upbeat enough that i could not stop reading it. (Pretty impressive to keep a guy who works with Nitrogen all the time ...attention...hehe)

2: Secondly, I seem to drift over to the Russian-Western Relationship and Marriage Forums the most. Mostly because it is the most active, and also because this is where I am finding the most pertinent information that I am looking for. (Particularily the 'traveling to..' section....not to mention the Stage #1,2,3 etc)

3: Anything that an Eastern woman writes I seem compelled to read...whether it is good or bad.

4: Lastly, as time becomes available to me, i like learning about the Russian language, culture, foolish thing people have discovered, etc....

Things I found i do not like with the forums:

Mostly the lack of fire control when things start getting out of hand or flames start. (That is what the PM option is for IMO). I am part of a few different websites and that sort of thing simply is not tolerated...international websites are prickly places sometimes.

The sheer number of forum topics is a bit much for a newcomer...but i found after a while i weeded out the sections that i am not currently interested in.

But all in all, my critiques are small and few.

Bottom line is....this is a very informative site on travel information, relationship starting and maintenence, and generally i really like the 'first hand' accounts of travels abroad. More information on specific countries is always a bonus.

The reviews of different agencies, tours, etc were some of the things i remember reading about first...i thought them to be a little incomplete (they are new) but in the long run a great asset to this site.

Anyways...that is just a first hand impression of a new guy so take it for what it is worth.

Thx

Thanks for your feedback, guys....

Mr. H.... Regarding flames... I was trying to be fair and patient with one member who was doing a bit of a firecracker. Once he was given three warnings (or strikes), he was banned and I haven't noticed any flames during the past couple of months.

The RMP has developed a three strikes and your banned policy, and we will continue to fairly enforce that.

Thanks,
