Hi Everyone,

I wanted to clarify the reason that we created this section (perhaps it was not clear).

The section was created so that Russian women could share their experiences and perspective.

So many of the English forums really concentrate on what Western men want, what they think, etc.... But this one forum section is about providing a space where the perspective, thoughts and experiences of Russian women can be presented and discussed.

I think that in this section, that women (either Russian or Western) are the ones who should begin threads of topics about Russian women and their experiences, and then Western men and anyone else who wants to contribute further can reply to the threads.....

Since there are several other threads where we can discuss issues important and focused on Western Men, I thought that it was important to save this one section for the perspective and voice of Russian women.

Khash, thanks for devoting the whole section to our concerns and viewpoints, but from my feminist point of view

it looks like a reservation.. If I want to make my voice known about the western/russian relationships in general, I can make it in a general relationship section of the forum.. If I have something to say about specific issues concerning R/W relaationships, I can voice my concerns in issue devoted sections of the forum.. I don't feel like we need a reservation "For Russian Women only", but whatever..

Of course a Russian woman can post their viewpoints in any section of the forum

I just wanted to reserve a section of the forum that could specifically highlight the concerns and viewpoints of a Russian woman.

I think that this will highlight the Russian woman's point of view and will better put it in the minds of men.

But of course, Russian women can voice their thoughts and perspectives everywhere...

Perhaps it is like having a Russian Studies program in a University that mainly focuses on the English language, or a Women's Study program in a University where most students are interested in the point of view of Western Civilization.
