For what it's worth, there have been many agencies - among them (the only ones I can remember off hand) Army of Brides, Global Ladies, and Origin - where I kept receiving "letters from ladies" for YEARS beyond what was a reasonable time frame after I posted my profile. I only recently discovered that when I cleared all cookies off my computer and kept only the necessary ones on (for bank web sites, etc.) all these letters stopped. Hmmmm. Funny my popularity should take a sudden and drastic plunge just because I removed a bunch of cookies from my computer. I guess the average RW really wants us to keep those cookies on our systems. Apparently these cookies don't get caught by anti-spyware programs because they're not spyware as such, but they do seem to be the source of tremendous popularity with the ladies. Army of Brides in particular seems to plant a cookie that generates "letters from ladies" that are fake; if you read them they're nothing more than a "dear _____" with their profile text inserted. Completely computer generated. This seems to be a very good test for an agency's reputability - leave the cookies enabled for a few days then block them for a given site and see what happens to your traffic.
