Hi Everyone,

I have been curious as to how each person learned about or found the Russian Meeting Place?

Did you do a particular search on the search engines?

Did you hear about it on another website or forum?

Did someone email you about it?

It would be interesting to hear how you first came across the RMP.

Russian Meeting Place forums first began on January 20, 2003.

Before that, it was a Yahoo group that began around October 2002, just after I came back from my trip from first seeing Lena.

I was on russianblacklist as they closed and this was a recommended site by one of the members.

Once upon a time I was looking for information on the immigration process, visas, etc and a Google search took me to another forum which I began reading. One day one of the members made a post reminding people that even with all their problems with USCIS, they should be thankful for all they have, and he posted a link to CastleStormer's thread about his girlfriend who had been murdered

And that's how I ended up here. Not a real cheerful story I'm afraid.

I got here because I suspected I was target of a scam. I think I searched on "Russian Brides Scammer" and found the Black List.

I was doing a search on AOL for a Russian translator. Then read the site and found a wealth of information.
Truth be told, Lena translated my introduction letter to my now fiancee. Recently I have found out it was because of her superb translation that Luibov chose to write me back.

I think I was searching yahoo groups for something on Russian relationships that might be inclusive of RM-AW relationships and found the group you started before you created the website-- and you were the only one I've every found that includes the concept of RM-AW relationships.

I think you will find thats its on pretty well all of the search engines.

Also anyone who visits other Russian information sites especially those dealing with questions......will know that its not too long in reading before this site is given a mention and links added.

It truly emphasises the wealth of information available here and the general belief that the site has become the No1 authoritive means of finding and sharing everything with Russia in its title !!

Found it thru Yahoo... I recall searching Eastern European Brides, or something close to that.

This site was also linked from a couple of blogs I visited... but I can't remember if they were Yahoo-oriented or thru another service... such as a United Online site. I read 4-5 months before I joined... and there are links to this website all over NOW!

Kudos... Khashyar & Lena. One of the best resources for FSU topics on the web.

I just want to get through the TR's from members who came with you when you founded RMP. I hope some members can transfer their TR's they filed on RW guide and others- prior to 01/2003.

I feel google and many other search engines are a waste of money, i found www.russianmeetingplace.com through www.russianblacklist.com.

People think you need many customers to make money this is not true.

Since Nataly has been with me in England, i have understood scams much more, you must look at the second name of your lady to find out if she is honest.

Nataly and myself look at many websites and Nataly is very happy with www.russianmeetingplace.com and feels they are very honest.

Nataly and myself have looked at other websites and we have seen many prostitute's on there sites and this is why we come back to the second name, a lady changes her second name because she is not honest.

A website needs a few paying customers per month to make money, look for a normal lady not a barbi doll.

I have leaflets made up and then put through people's doors, i expect one customer for every 100 hundred leaflets delivered to our customer's.

I just kept searching yahoo and found it. The only site I have every joined is singles crowd and I never felt comfortable with any of the dating agencies for Russia. They just seemed they were there for money. On this site your not trying to sell anything. This is how it is suppose to be. Thanks alot.

Yes, Jim... you were one of the founding handful of members of the older Yahoo User Group that I started after coming back from my trip to see Lena... After I came back from that trip, I thought it would be good to assemble a group of people who also had Russian fiances....

Hi Raiders.... I also feel comfortable with the idea of a website that has the main focus of providing a service, rather than selling something. That is one of the reasons that I am leaning towards discontinuing the RMP personals. Although the RMP Personals has brought several people together, and we charge a token fee to hepp us with some of the expenses of maintaining it, I am leaning towards discontinuing it, because it requires a certain amount of time and attention to maintain it in the right way. Perhaps we can create an all-Russian language free personals, where single women can just post their profiles in Russian (with an email address), and Western men can search and find Russian ladies in that way. I am speaking about all of this with Lena, and perhaps we will begin a thread about this topic in the future (though I don't want to get off topic with that discussion here at this time).

Just did a search on Google.co.uk for English and Russian relationships and you came top, second was Elenas Models site which is where I found out about the Russian Meeting Place site originally.

If you do a search in Google.co.uk for Irish Russian Relationships you actually come in positions 1 and 2.

I found the site on Ask Jeeves, I was getting letters from what turned out to be a scammer, I was looking for ways to send her money and found your site and am I happy I did, you have saved me a lot of money, a lot of heartache and made me see beyond the end of my nose. I just used a different name, in that group.

RMP is a different, from others 'competitors' since this is a positiv place, and most others are rather negative.
2ndly, here at RMP is more 'in-person' like with yours RMP meeting.

i stumbled across this message board by searching for message boards on yahoo. since i won't be traveling to russia until this fall at the earliest, i figured this would be a great opportunity to gain some insight, as opposed to going through a long distance relationship for many months.

i'm gonna try to pick up russian chicks from scratch in moscow, or maybe ukraine

). seriously, it just seems to be too hard to meet someone in an intimate way online.

I found RMP by accident while surfing the net about scamming in the Ukraine.

I am real happy I found it to. You get a real education here about FSU & RW and the pursuit of finding a good women.

Just 6 weeks ago I was in Odessa pretty confused. And now I have all the support and knowledge of guys who did it all before me.

The little things you learn here are amazing. Everybody here opens your eyes so you can see better.

I heard of RMP from other members in another RW site. Since finding this site, I have ended my membership with the other site. They were changing the site too much, to the point it wasn't interesting anymore. Some of the members there were becoming prima-donnas and would talk down to other members.

I was looking at different dating sites, trying to figure out which one(s) appealed to me or which I felt more comfortable with in contacting ladies.
one of the sites was "Kiev Connections" in thier "Why are we better" Tab they had a reference to "Russian Metting Place" and a link to this person's experience with Kiev connections in a detailed trip report. Clicked on the link and started to read his trip report. That was my first experience with RMP this happened just about 1 month ago
